HiFrom ("the App") is operated by Tiewly ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using HiFrom you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Location data. When you enable location for a post, the App records GPS coordinates so your journey can be placed on a map. Precise coordinates are shown only to you and to followers you have approved. People who have not been approved, or anyone viewing a public share, see only an approximate location (rounded to roughly 1 km). Photos delivered from our servers do not contain precise GPS data. If location is turned off or unavailable, the post continues without location.
- Photos. Photos you add to a trip are uploaded to our storage and delivered to your approved followers.
- Email address. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address to identify your account.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.
- Follower information. If you follow someone's trip, the nickname and any answers you provide when requesting to follow are stored with that follow.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core service: sharing your trips, photos, and location with the people you choose.
- To deliver push notifications you have opted into.
- To operate, secure, and prevent abuse of the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service Providers
We rely on the following third parties to operate HiFrom. Your data may be processed by them solely to provide the service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
- Cloudflare — photo storage (R2), content delivery (CDN), and serverless functions.
- Expo — push notification delivery.
- Apple and Google — sign-in (OAuth).
4. Data Retention
Trip data — including photos, posts, plans, follows, and reactions — is permanently deleted approximately one month after the trip ends. We retain limited security and abuse-prevention records for a short period. You can delete your account and data at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
6. Children's Privacy
HiFrom is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
